After we blogged Anna and Paul’s country engagement session last month, they sent us an email that undeniably came straight from the heart. It left us smiling in our chairs and feeling more grateful for our sweet clients than we know how to put into words. Oh my goodness. You got me.. I’m speechless, then giggles, smiles, and more giggles. (If you can’t imagine, take a look back at the photos and you can see our faces.right.now. So happy!) We are absolutely 100% in l-o-v-e with our engagement session photos! I can’t even imagine what the rest will look like! Thank you!

We are blessed with the kindest, most thoughtful clients. The happiness they bring us by sharing their unique love stories with us is just one aspect of our career that we adore! We had a blast with Jena and Joe last month at their family’s cabin on Lake Lucerne. The fact that they invited us to this special location for their engagement session speaks volumes. Just this past week we received the sweetest card from them, along with a contribution to our personal weakness: Starbucks. Thank you, Jena and Joe, for welcoming us into your world and allowing us to document your love together!

There are many things we love in life. Each other, our awesome clients, and photography just happen to rank among the top of those things ;) Michaela and Eric recently made our day by sending a thank you card our way, complete with a generous gift to feed our coffee addiction! We cannot express our gratitude enough for the thoughtfulness and kind words they have shared with us from day one. To share a few of their words:

Your ability to capture the small personal moments, unseen by many, makes looking at the pictures seem like we are able to be in those easily forgotten seconds all over again. The whole day and every part was captured with great style. You were amazing to work with and we appreciate so much that you worked so well with our kids.

We have been so blessed this year with amazing wedding couples! Lyndsay & Scott’s Minneapolis Wedding was just last month, and today we received the sweetest thank-you note from them. At the end of the day, once our brides and grooms have received their wedding packages and shared their images with friends/family, we are always grateful for their gratitude. L&S’ note was so sweet we decided to share a bit of it with you :)

Can we just say that we love our clients??? And it’s not just because they go right along with all of our silly ideas… or because they deal with the two of us making fun of each other… Well, that might be part of it, but the truth is that we absolutely love when we walk away from a wedding day or portrait session and say to ourselves “geez, that went by fast! what a fun day!!” This happens quite often with us, and it is exactly how we felt after Lyndsay and Justin’s Door County wedding the last weekend in July. Their bridal party was an absolute riot, and together we created some beautiful images! This little thank you message from Lyndsay after seeing her complete gallery of images was like icing on a really big, very delicious cake :)

THESE PHOTOS ARE ABSOLUTLEY INCREDIBLE!!! Words can not explain how happy I am with ALL of the photos. The day went so fast and it was hard to remember all the details, but after looking at these, how can I not remember!? WOW, thank you so very much. So excited!!

Yesterday, we received the sweetest message from a potential future client, and we just had to share! We truly appreciate comments like this. Almost as much as we appreciate individuals like the author of the below message whose hearts are golden!

So I know that I don’t know the two of you very well… in reality… but I feel like I do from being your facebook follower! :) I know I always appreciate a good, honest compliment, and I figured the two of you would, as well.

I can’t tell you enough how much I love your work! If only my husband and I could have been so lucky to have you as our wedding photographers! But don’t you worry… I will be finding another opportunity to have you photograph something for me in this lifetime :) You are so artistic, and creative. Your work is so real… you do such a great job of capturing natural beauty. If I could do it all over again – I would be a photographer, not an accountant, haha.

You always seem to be enjoying yourselves immensely – and the recent photographs of the two of you couldn’t be cuter, you are a beautiful couple!

I just think you guys know how to love the important things in life, and you take such amazing pictures… its always so fun to see what you’ve been up to!

We will keep you in mind for whatever we can think of in the future ;-)

This past October we flew out to Boise, Idaho to photograph megan + dave’s wedding — their ceremony & reception took place at the boise depot which was easily one of the most amazing venues we have experienced! We just received a lovely thank you note from them and took a moment to look back at their photos — thanks for your kind words, M&D! We are so happy for you both :)

True story: Kelsy sneeks out to photograph Megan and Dave’s thank you card without telling Butch. She walks a block or so, is in her own world taking pictures, and suddenly jumps 20 feet into the air when butch comes up behind her, just keeping tabs on what she’s up to. Butch then laughs hysterically, naturally ;)
