They had chemistry from the start. No, really! They. had. chemistry. fromthestart! Jena and Joe met in Joe’s first class at college, which they had together. It was CHEMISTRY! ;) Inevitably, Joe enjoys making “corny jokes” about just that. Fast forward to later that year when Jena saw Joe at the Union and asked if she could have lunch with him. He said yes, they had a great lunch chatting, and then Jena had to go to class. She left, and Joe didn’t ask for her number. He later realized he had no way of getting in touch with her. All he could hope was that he would see her around and get it next time… except, months went by. Meanwhile, Jena left and told her girlfriend that she really liked him, but didn’t think that he liked her at all. Little did she know, he did, and they started dating just over a year later. ;)
Last week we headed to Wautoma for J&J’s engagement session. We love when couples bring us to a meaningful location to photograph their love, and these two did just that. Joe’s family has a gorgeous cabin on Lake Lucerne, where they spend time year-round with family & friends. In more ways than we can count, it provided the perfect setting for their e-session.
A big thank you to Jena and Joe for introducing us to their little slice of heaven, and for sharing so much of yourselves with us! The way the two of you light up when you look at each other made us weak at the knees. Your October wedding is something we are already looking forward to <3
