You may have noticed that most of the writing, blogging, and sharing around here is done by my beautiful wife, Kelsy. And rightly so, because though hopefully it looks pretty good by the time you read this, I will have had to go through this post about 20 times checking for spelling and grammar errors that my fingers may have made while tripping across the keyboard :) But when something like what I get to tell you about today comes along – I just know that Kelsy wouldn’t have done it for herself. She’s not one to say, “look at me.” That’s my job… “Look at her!” And she definitely isn’t aware of just how talented she’s become with the camera in her hands, and more importantly her vision for the end result! But the glow that I just got to see on her face made me warm inside, smile from ear to ear, and want to tell everyone about it!
A few moments ago, Facebook notified Kelsy that she was tagged in a post. “It’s Here, It’s Here,” the post began. The brand new issue of The Best Wedding Sites Magazine. And then Kelsy read… “The cover photo is by Kelsy McCartney and this issue is…” the sentence went on, but that’s all the further she read before her eyes got real big and she began waving me over to her computer screen like Amos Lee had just emailed her to personally tell her he was looking forward to the private concert for her later tonight!
I’m sorry that the cameras weren’t rolling for the little chair dance that ensued once the news started to set in! That would have been priceless. But really, I’m SO proud of Kelsy. From the beginning she knew exactly what she wanted for this styled shoot – and being the first one she’s organized (and me never doing one and not having much to offer except “yea, that looks cool!”) she completely rocked it out from beginning to end. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next. I love working together with my wife… and that is priceless!
If you have a moment, please head over to the online edition of The Best Wedding Sites Magazine and take a look!
