We first met Jody and Chris over a coffee for their wedding consult a few months back. From their love of their bulldog, Bernie, to their laid back friendly attitudes we knew that we would be a great fit… luckily, they felt the same way! We met them at the Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden in Theo Wirth park last week on a sunny evening for their engagement session! We had never been there before and immediately fell in love with all of the vibrant color {not to mention we could not have asked for a more perfect sun-shower — thanks, Mother Nature} :) After a walk through the gardens, they brought Bernie out to join us and we shot until the light faded, ending on a tee box with the Minneapolis skyline as our backdrop. Enjoy these images from their session, and don’t mind the ridiculous length of this post — we just wanted to share so many of their photos!

we basically twisted them into a pretzel for this next image… and they assumed the cozy position right away! love the gentle touch of chris fixing jody’s hair :)

How cute are they – so expressive on this rickety old bridge!

If you haven’t been to this park, these next few images might be just enough to convince you to check it out. Take your hunny, your kids, or just yourself and go for a walk on the path!

We just couldn’t stop shooting, the light was to die for and J&C were naturals

Look at those EYES!!

Best. Dip. EVER!

And this is Bernie!

One of our favorites from their session <3

We’re already looking forward to J&C’s wedding on November 6th of this year!
